'Reading maketh a man perfect ' - words of Francis Bacon came true with the inception of AECS library in 1985 which was a journey of thousand miles began with a single step. Today the library has become a full fledged one with thousands of books that spread light into the minds of thousands of students of our school.
The library becomes a treasure house of knowledge for many students as it provides them not only with the latest journals and magazines on flora and fauna, realms of economy and wealth, areas of Science, Art and Yoga but also with a lots of reference and text books on almost all subjects and languages that come under the purview of students.
Recently the library has been upgraded with the introduction of e-Granthalaya - A computerised system of catalouging and Issual of books. At present the system is used to record the existing and new arrivals of books and issual of books. Around 10300 books catalouged and entered in our system. Now all the readers can get issue/return/search books from the library through our e-granthalaya system. Bar coding for books and members are under progress and will be finished within a short period.
A book exhibition by M/s. Scholastic India was organised for the students, parents and satff members during the month of October 2007.
In order to inculcate the reading habit among the students, the Best Library Reader Award is given to the students of primary and secondary section every year. This year also 9 students from primary section and 13 students from secondary section are awarded as Best Library Reader.
There are 200 new titles procured specially for classes X and XII. These books are kept ready for use of our students and teachers.
In order to proper utilize the written off books of our library, we have properly bounded these books and and donated to nearby School. This year we have donated around 74 books to Govt. Middle School, Sukhniwas.
