Extra-Curricular Activities and News


AECS, Indore offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities that help students imbibe valuable lessons in social development and responsibilities.Diverse activities like sculpture, music, dance, creative writing, debates and nature clubs encourage student development.

Every student is encouraged to participate in debates, elocution, quiz competitions, dance, drama, music and outdoor activities and students enjoy participation in such events.

The Co-Curricular Activities of the school are being conducted as per the schedule in Primary and Secondary sections of the school.

10th National Science Olympiad

The 10th National Science Olympiad organised by Science Olympiad Foundation was held in which a large number of students participated from our school. It is a matter of pride that Master Ekansh Gupta , a student of class XII performed exceptionally well and secured All India Rank 5 and was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5100 and a merit certificate. Master Jayesh Hannurkar amd Master Ambrish Rawat secured a very high All India Rank and received a cash prize of rs. 500/- and merit certificate . 13 more students of our school performed very well by securing a very good All India Rank and were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 250 and certificate of merit.

All India Inter AECS Art Competition-2008

The All India Inter AECS drawing and painting competition was organised at AECS Hyderabad. This year the young artists from our school performed extremely well in this competition and bagged four I prizes out of seven prizes.

Celebration of Days & Weeks

The Republic Day 2009

The Republic Day was celeberated in our school with usual pomp and show. The National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest of the function, Dr.V.C. Sahni, Director, RRCAT. A large number of parents and visitors was also present on the occasion.

Annual Day 2009

School Annual Day for the year 2008-09 was celebrated on 4th February 2009. Mr. S.K. Kulshreshtha, Chairman, AEES , Mumbai was the chief guest. Dr. V.C. Sahni, Director, RRCAT,presided over the function. Dr. P.D. Gupta , Chairman, LMC was also present in the function alongwith other dignitaries. Mr. K. Ramachandran, Vice Principal, I/c presented the Annual report. The cultural presentations of the students- Dance, Drama, Skit etc. were appreciated by the Chief Guest, the dignitaries, the parents and by one and all.

Science Week Celebration 2008-09

The Science week was celebrated from 23rd February to 3rd March 2009 in our school. During the week,the following programmes were organised.

  • Approximately 85 experiments were demonstrated in regular assembly by the students of classes VI to IX.
  • An elocution competition and a written science quiz were conducted for students of the primary section
  • All children of secondary section participated in an essay writing competition.
  • Students of class VIII held a science seminar on environmental issues through Powerpoint presentation
  • Students of classes VII & VIII took part in a Multimedia Science Quiz organized in a very interesting way.
  • Guest lectures were delivered by Dr.Alka Ingle, a renowned scientist from RRCAT and by Shri Indranil Bhoumik, a scientific officer with RRCAT. Dr.Ingle spoke on ‘Light & Color ‘ & on Sir.C.V.Raman’s work while Shri Bhoumik threw light on the position, phases of the moon and some interesting facts on the moon. Both the lectures were greatly appreciated by the students and the staff.
  • The students visited RRCAT laboratories on 28th February 2009.
  • On the last day all the participating students were awarded prizes.

Retirement and Transfer

Mr. V.R. Khoche, Principal and Mrs, Sushma Sinha, TGT retired on superannuation. Mr. R.K. Jain, TGT Hindi has joined AECS Indore after getting transferred from AECS Rawatbhata.
